Terra Motors Teams Up with Indian Local Government to Support Rural Women’s Independence

Raising the Social Status of Indian Women

Women empowerment indicates the overall development of a nation. We must celebrate and salute the heroic women who are changing the world around them and empowering other women to strive towards the same.

From challenging gender stereotypes in Indian rural and urban society to emancipation of women, to fulfilling of their aspirations; some organisations have done a great deal. Providing women with financial and intellectual independence has accounted for the most inspiring initiative by many organisations, one of them is National Rural Livelihoods Mission (NRLM)’s project, Anandadhara.

Launched in 2016 by the Hon’ble Chief Minister of West Bengal, Ms. Mamata Banerjee; the state government formed a self-reliant group with the women in state who could most benefit from the project. Anandahara’s main objective is to synergize the opportunities among women and carve an exclusive path of growth for them.

Terra Motors is proud to be associated with this project. The government buys our E-Rickshaw and gives it to this organisation, whose women drives the vehicle to earn a decent living, resulting in empowering and providing financial stability to these women.

Terra Motors takes immense pride in the abilities of women and believes that when women are earning; they are not only independent and confident but also much happier and more content.
